Abstract: Two new oribatid species are described from soil of rain forests in the Shimba Hills National Park (Kenya). One of them represents a new genus (Baloghoizetes pluritrichosus gen. et sp. n.) belonging to the family Microzetidae; the other (Pilobatella baloghi sp. n.) belongs to the family Haplozetidae.
