Abstract: Ptecticus thailandicus sp. n. based on 4 males and 2 females from Thailand is described. An additional five species of the same genus, viz. Ptecticus aurifer (Walker, 1854), P. cingulatus Loew, 1855, P. kambangensis de Meijere, 1914, P. minimus Rozkosny et Kovac, 1997 and P. vulpianus (Enderlein, 1914) are recorded from Thailand for the first time.
