Abstract: Anisops sardeus HERRICH-SCHAEFFER, 1849, known previously only from the Mediterranean region and Balkan Peninsula, is recorded from Hungary for the first time. Specimens were captured at two lowland localities in the southeastern part of the Great Hungarian Plain. With 2 figures.
