Abstract: Data of 22 species of hesperioid (Hesperiidae: 22) and 134 papilionoid (Lycaenidae: 29, Nymphalidae: 79, Papilionidae: 9 and Pieridae: 17) butterfly taxa collected in Korea are presented. Almost four decades of entomological exploration by the Hungarian Natural History Museum in the Korean Peninsula yielded the 1900 specimens listed here with a full list of the 263 releveant collecting events. 1771 specimen data (93%) exclusively originate from the northern part of the Peninsula. Colias chrysotheme andre HEMMING, 1933, turned to be new for the fauna of the entire Korean Peninsula. With 6 figures.
