Year: 2012
Volume: 73
Pages: 109-113.
Abstract: Three species of quercivore (= feeding on oaks) gall midges, Contarinia cerriperda
SKUHRAVÁ et SKUHRAVÝ, 1991, Parallelodiplosis galliperda (F. LÖW, 1889), Xenodiplosis
laeviusculi (RÜBSAAMEN, 1910) are recorded for the first time from Hungary. This
raises the number of species known from the country to 16. Thirteen species are real gall
makers and the other 3 are inquilines. Several new host records are given, mostly from the
non-native Quercus libani, planted in arboreta. Keywords: Hungary, new records, Cecidomyiidae, Gall midges, Quercus, oaks
