Abstract: For the comparison of the central nervous system of the insects, and especially those of Orthopterans as dealt with in the preasent paper, one needs a scheme – descriptive from the point of view of anatomy and easily usable morphologically – wich will on the one hand, comprise all known types featuring in all comparative treatises on the several insect groups and, on the other hand, enable research workers, investigating the different groups, to single out and to make use of the anatomically conforming points for measurement. Author thus presents the measuring points of the cerebrum (1.), the pharyngeal nerve ring (2.), the sympatical system of the head (3.9, the ganglion infraoesophageum (4.), the thoracal (5)., and abdominal ganglia (6.), the ventral sympatical system (7.), and the ventral connectives (8.) of Orthopterans.Journal: Folia entomologica hungaricaJournal abbreviation: Folia ent. hung.ISSN: 0373-9465Publisher: , Editor(s): Kovács, I.
