Abstract: Author confronts the swarming data of seven common lepidopterous pests with the numeric data of the most important meteorological factors (aerial and grouns temperatures, relative humidity content, precipitation, number of sunny hours). The swarming and meteorological data, expressed in numbers, ar plotted on graphs. After comparison, correlations are sought between the swarming of the imagos and the configuration of the meteorologic factors. Author used, for her observations, the light-trap of the plant protection station functioning in Nagytétény, near Budapest, and measured the meteorologic data in the immediate vicinity of the trap. The observations subserve applied plant protection: an extracter knowledge of the swarming periods of the pests allow a better planning of preventive measures.
