Abstract: The present (together with the published and coming2) catalogues strictly complete the taxonomical treatment of the Bracon-species of the Carpathian Basin (Papp 1966-1968). The species of the subgenus Bracon s. str. was listed inside the genus Bracon Fabr. by Mocsáry (1897:58), similarly to the species Glabrobracon (Fahr.) Tob., Lucobracon (Fahr.) Tob. and Orthobracon (Fahr.) Tob. In his time only 13bracon s.str.-species were known from our faunal district (resp. from the territory of the historical Hungary) altogether from 17 localities. Later Győrfi (1941, 1953), and Zilahi-Kiss (1915) completed our relevant knowledge with contributions. By their publications and on the basis of the collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest) consisted of 792 specimens presently we know 23 species and 8 varieties. Viewing the synonymizations and the misidentification we have to strike of the following species from our fauna list (the species-name with which the enumerated specie is synonymous is in brackets): B. elegans Szépl. (= B. intercessor Nees), B. luteator Spin.(= B. nigripedator Nees), B. scabriusculus D.T., B. sulcatulus Szépl. (= B. minutator Fabr.) és B. trucidator Marsh. (B. minutator Fabr.). On the other hand the next species are new to our fauna: B. chivensis Tel., B. crocatus Schmied., B. leptus Marsh. B. mediostriatus Papp is new to science (description see Papp 1967). The species are enumerated according to the same points of view as in the relevant catalogues published up to now (Cat. Hym., I.-XIX.). The specific names are followed by the designation of the collecting locality according to the zoogeographical arrangement of MÓczár (1948), the date of capture, the abbreviation of the name of the collector, finally all eventual ethological data (period of flight, flower visiting, hosts).
