Abstract: The author discusses a new moth species, recently described by him and named, in the memory of hislate friend and collecting partner, Bedellia ehikella. He reports on the circumstances of the discovery andthe recognition of the species; the description of the imago, the larva, and the mine follow, as well as adiscussion of th differences against its nearest ally, Bedellia somnulentella Z. Some aspects of the life-history are also given.
