Abstract: By studying the préparates made from the genitalia of many Chloroclystis exemplares collected in Hungary, the author has found 6 individuals belonging to the species Chloroclystis chloreata Mab. In the paper the collection data and localities are presented; with one exception (Mátra mountain) all individuals were collected - mostly by light traps - in the area between the river Duna and Drava (Transdanubia). According to the literature Hungary lies on the southern limit of the distribution of the species. Some authors report of a flight period in May; in Hungary however the adults were collected at the end of May, June, even in July. It may be possible that there exists in Hungary a distinct ecological form.
