Abstract: Authors compared the microlepidopterous materials captured by the light traps operating at high and low elevations in the experimental station of the Research Institute for Viniculture and Enology at Tarcal. The low altitude light trap was situated about 1.2 - 1.5 m high above the ground, the higher one at 2.5 m above ground. The data of the research years 1966, 1967, 1968 revealed, as concerns the totality of species, the higher effectivity of the light trap placed nearer to the soil surface. Of the 14 species studied, 12 (Pl. maculipennis Curt., P. heparana Den. et Schiff., P. dumetana Tr., A. pulchellana Haw., Cl. spectrana CL., Cl. strigana Hbh., A. variegana Den.et Schiff., T. loeflingiana L., E. frumentalis L., Sp. pilleriana Den. et Schiff., E. ambiguella Hbh., L. botrana Den. et Schiff.) have been represented in greater numbers in the material of the low, and 2 (S. verticalis L., 0. nubilalis Hbn.) in that of the high, light trap.Journal: Folia entomologica hungaricaJournal abbreviation: Folia ent. hung.ISSN: 0373-9465Publisher: , Editor(s): Papp, J.
