Abstract: Szelenyisca n. gen. (Diapriinae, Diapriidae), with type-species S. miricornis n. sp., is described from Brazil. The new genus is classified close to Trichopria ASHMEAD s.l. where it is assumed to represent a highly apomorphous element. The new genus is dedicated to Dr. GUSZTÁV SZELÉNYI in recognition of his outstanding contribution to taxonomy of parasitic Hymenoptera as well as his generous assistance shown to the author over many years.
