Abstract: The first contribution lists a total of 184 Symphyta species found in the Carpathian Basin. The species belong to the following families: Xyelidae, Pamphiliidae, Megalodontidae, Xiphydriidae, Siricidae, Orussidae, Cephidea, Argidae, Blasticotomidae, Cimbicidae and Diprionidae.
