Abstract: Elaboration and revision of families Silphidae and Liodidae on the material collected by Dr. Z. Kaszab in Mongolia (1963-1968), complete with faunistical data. The more than 5000 Silphidae belong to 17 species, two species are new to the fauna of Mongolia. Author revises and synonymizes all of the 26 Liodid species, identified or described by Hlisnikovský in 1964-67. As a result of this revision a total of 15 species are discussed from Mongolia of wich 6 are new to the country.
