Abstract: By using isolators in various biotopes the overwintering niches of Hydrellia griseola Fall, have been ascertained. Author established that in Hungary rice-fly did not cause damage in cereals, the species did not overwinter there, and the exact locations have been shown in the stubble fields of rice and in their vicinity.
