Abstract: Ivestigation of Tarsonemid mites deriving from owl nests, all collected from the state of New York, USA. Eight species have been identified of wich six proved to be new for science: Pygmephorellus pinguisetus sp. n., Siciliped troxi sp. n., Brennandania jacotti sp. n., Pygmodispus (P.) abestus sp. n., Scutacarus ameropannonicus sp. n. and S. subsphaeroideus sp. n.
