Abstract: Authors established that Philaenus spumarius (L.) imagos are frequent on apple and peach trees in Hungary. Orchards with undergrowth are similarly infected and the imagos occur both on the soft-stemmed plants as on the apple and peach trees, which might indicate, as the authors suggest, that this species may be a transmitter agent of the mycoplasm pathogene of the arborescent plants.
