Abstract: The identity of the genera Ritsemia Lichtenstein, 1879 and Physococcus Hadzibeili, 1958 is estabilished and presented here. Ritsemia pupifera proved to be a new species to the Hungarian fauna. It also represents a link between similar French and Georgian data. The genus Ritsemia and the species R. pupifera are redescribed here. The tribe Ritsemini and the genera, supposedly belonging to it, are also outlined.
