Abstract: This paper includes descriptions of 13 new species and 2 varietes of the genus Philunthus, the correction of Philonthus thermarum Aube, to Gabronthus theomaroides Tott., and G. corrugatus Tott. (J. Nat. Hist. 1968:368), with also additional localities; a new species descriptions of 14 new species and 1 variety of the genus Hesperus. Where males were available, outline drawnings of the aedagi are shown.
