Abstract: Some 1300 specimens of Lamiinae were identified from the unnamed material of the Transvaal Museum, mostly from southern Africa. As a result five new genera (Cornuchariesthes, Parastathmodera, Paramussardia, Pseudocrossotus and paragasponia), 66 new species and 19 new infraspecific taxa are described. All holotypes are housed in the Transvaal Museum, Pretoria.
