Abstract: Revision of the Tenebrionidae of New Caledonia and the Lovalty Islands. 219 species and 5 subspecies in 43 genera have been ascertained, 10 species are not autochtonous;16 genera endemic (of which 8 are new to science: Trachyderastes gen. N., Kuschelus gen.n., Pseudobyrsax gen.n., Ozotypoides gen.n., Adelozotypus gen.n., Montaguea gen.n., Pseudocilibe gen.n. and Pseudadelium gen.n.); 191 species and 5 subspecies are endemic, 95 species and subspecies are new to science, 26 species belong to new combinations, whilr 4 subspecies deserve new status. New synonyms are: Paita Fauvel, 1904 and Ceramba Fauvel, 1902 represent junior synonyms of Menimus Sharp, 1876; Uloma ovalis Perroud, 1864 is a junior synonym of U. sexdecimlineata Montrouzier, 1860; Isopus tenuepunctatus Heller, 1916 also a junior synonym of Episolapus politus F. Bates, 1873. New names are Wattius nom.n., for Calymmus Pascoe 1871, nec Doué in Montrouzier, 1860, type-species: Calymmus cucullatus Pascoe, 1872; Pseudadelium (gen.n.) fauveli nom.n. for Adelium pustulosum Fauvel, 1904 a preoccupied name: Adelium pustulosum Blackburn, 1891. – Generic key, and species keys belonging to 43 genera. Entire literature is cited, all locality data and documentation data listed; taxonomical evaluation of known species and description of new taxa.
