Abstract: Upon the investigation of the types and extensive material from numerous museums and private collections, taxonomic review of Nebria (subgenus Alpaeus Bon.) from the Caucasus, Anatolia and partly from Iran is given. Twenty-eight species and subspecies are considered, divided into 6 groups. Identification keys to the groups, species and subspecies are given. Four species and five subspecies described as new, 10 species are reduced to synonymy, the status of one species is reduced to subspecific rank.
