Abstract: The examination of the European Rhitrogena species was carried out. A detailed description of the imagines and all stages of development of the following species is given: R. nivata (Eaton, 1871), R. hybrida Eaton, 1885, and R. hercynia Landa, 1969. The description of two new species: R. sibillina sp. n. and R. endensis sp. n. is presented.
