Abstract: Contributin to an interpretation of some taxa of the bee genus Hylaeus F. from Asia described by Morawitz, Cockerell and strand (Hymenoptera, Apoidea). This paper submits new facts on morphology, distribution, taxonomy and synonymy of some Asiatic bees of the genus Hylaeus F. The types reexamined for that belonged to the authors Morawitz (1876: 12 spp. from central Asia; 1890: 3 spp. from China), Cockerell (1924 a, b: 6 spp. from East Siberia) and Strand (1909: 1 sp. from Siberia). Lectotypes are designated for H. angustifrons Mor., H. dolichocephalus Mor., H. indistinctus Mor. and H. medialsi Mor. (coll. Zoological Institute Leningrad). The following names are new synonyms: H. inmdistinctus Mor. = H. nigricallosus Mor.; H. lepidulus Ckll. = H. gracilicornis (Mor.); H. nigricuneatus Ckll. 7 H. difformis (Ev.); H. breviceps auct. nec Morawitz= H. pallidicornis Mor.
