Abstract: The scientific results of various entomological excursions in the Caucasus and the Near East are described in the present paper. Thirteen new species and subspecies are described: P. (Argutor) ponticus, P. (Carenostylus) pseudopurpurascens, P. (Oreoplatysma) rousianus, P. (Oreoplatysma) araraticus, P. (Oreoplatysma) pasanauricus, P. (Oreoplatysma) cecchiniae avadcharicus, P. (Oreoplatysma) sojaki, P. 8O.) paralleloides, P.(O.), P. (O.) krasnopolensis, P. (O.) kubanicus spp. n. The Pterostichus species of the subgenus Oreoplatysma Jakobson of the Caucasus and neighbour ring areas of the pontic Alps as well as the Haptoderus species from SE Europe. Near east and Caucasus are presented in determination keys.
