Abstract: Empoascanara lutea Dworakowska is transferred to the genus Helionidia Zachvatkin and so, Sawainara Ramakrishnan et Menon is recognised as a junior synonym of Helionidia Zachvatkin and not that of Empoascanara Distant. Empoascanara formosella Dworakowska, has been finally found to be a junior synonym of Erythroneura alami Ahmed and Helionidia aspinosa Dlabola as a junior synonym of Erythroneura longifax Linnavuori. 8 new species of Helionidia and 4 new species of Empoascanara s. str. are described along with one new species of Bza Dworakowska, subgenus of the latter. New faunistic data are given, too.
