Abstract: The spider fauna of reedmarshland in Hungary. The author summarizes the literature on spiders of marshland on the basis of articles by Hungarian and few foreign researchers. Forty of the most typical species of Hungarian marshland have been listed in the paper. Most species occur, apart from the reeds, in other water-associated biotopes as well. Just a few species are known to typically adhere to the reeds, which is supported by Hungarian data of frequency, too (Allomengeavidua, Donacochara speciosa, Tetragnathastriata, Eucta kaestneri). As no comprehensive survey of the spider fauna of reeds has been done on our county so far, it can be duly supposed that the research starting now will significantly contribute to the present results.Journal: Folia entomologica hungaricaJournal abbreviation: Folia ent. hung.ISSN: 0373-9465Publisher: , Editor(s): Mahunka, S.
