Abstract: The last Hungarian record of the Saucer Bug was published in 1954. This paper summarizes the recent faunal data of the species collected in Hungarian running waters during the hydrobiological sampling program carried out between 1992 and 1994. Kick and dredge samples were taken in order to describe the aquatic macrofauna. The Saucer Bug was found both in deeper and shallow water bodies having at least 2 m width. Altogether 63 data were recorded at 49 locations of 14 rivers. Corresponding other rheophilic macroinvertebrate taxa occurring often together with the Saucer Bug are also listed in the paper such as the naturally common and water shed specific species.
