Abstract: Some interesting butterfly species are recorded from the Izra valley, north-western foothills of Bükk Mts. Three protected and elsewhere rare species have proved to be remarkably abundant here: Eumedonia eumedon, Agrodiaetus admetus and Argyronome laodice. Cupido osiris also occurs in the valley.
