Abstract: The lygaeid Oxycarenus lavaterae was found in high density on Tilia species in Keszthely on the shore of Lake Balaton. The nearest locality reported hereto is in Dalmatia and Austria. This species can overwinter on Tilia and in houses, too, so this bug has possibility to spread over the whole country in future. It is questionable, how these insects could get into Hungary: with recent expansion or with importation.
