Abstract: The authors had collected 9 species belonging to 6 genera of the family Cheyletidae from ornamental trees and shrubs of Budapest between 1989-1995 and from stored cereals and fodder between 1994-1995. The following species are new for the Hungarian fauna: Cheyletus aversor Rohdendorf, 1940, Ch. trouessartiOudemans, 1902, Cheletomorpha lepidopterorum (Shaw, 1794), Acaropsis docta (Berlese, 1886), Cheletacarus raptor Volgin, 1961, Pro-socheyla oaklandi (Baker, 1949) and P. traubi (Baker, 1949).
