Title: Injuriousness of Haplothrips tritici Kurdjumov, 1913 (Thysanoptera: Phlaeothripidae) on wheat in central Spain

Abstract: Result of a 1-year study of the injuriousness on wheat of Haplothrips tritici Kurd. indicate that thrips populations have a significaty negative impact on yield, grain quality and baking quality under the conditions of central Spain, occurring high populations levels. In addition a high sex ratio was observed (1 male: 2 females), suggesting arrhenotoky.
