Abstract: Mycotoxins produced by Verticillium lecanii affect the behaviour of western flower thrips adults and larvae immediately after inoculation. Analysis of the patterns of behaviour of adult Frankliniella occidentalis allows discrimination between infected and non-infected thrips. Some of the behaviour categories affected by infection are cleaning, feeding, head shaking and chamber exploration.
