Abstract: We propose the name Andricus gallaeviscosus (Fairmaire, 1882) for an oak cynipid gallwasp species currently known under two names -Cynips glutinosa Gir. var. dentimitrata Rejtő, 1887 ( = Andricus dentimitratus) and Andricus viscosus (Nieves, 1985). We provide taxonomic support for our proposal, describe the galls of this species, and summarise what is known of its host-plant affiliation and geographical distribution. Andricus floridus Tavaraes, 1918 - the bisexual generation - is a syn. nov. to Andricus gallaeviscosus (Fairmaire, 1882).Journal: Folia entomologica hungaricaJournal abbreviation: Folia ent. hung.ISSN: 0373-9465Publisher: , Editor(s): Mahunka, S.
