Abstract: Floristical research has been carried out in the Rakaca valley since 1991. Within this frame-work Opiliones were studied in 1992 and 1994. For sampling with pitfall traps the following plant communities were chosen: sessile oak-turkey oak forest (Quercetum petraeae - cerris), wet meadow (Cirsio cani — Festucetum pratensis) and tall sedge vegetation (Caricetum elatae). 11 Opiliones species were collected. These are the first data on Opiliones from this region.
