Abstract: Although generally many Opiliones have been recorded from Hungarian hills and mountains, very little has been published about the opilionid fauna of the Börzsöny Mountains. With this article it is my intention to make a contribution to our knowledge of the harvestmen-fauna of Western Hungary in general and of the Börzsöny Mountains in particular. It is based on material from Szendehely offered to me by Dr. L.
