Abstract: The knowledge of the Tephritidae fauna of Hungary is updated. Since the monograph of Mihályi (1960) nine additional species have been mentioned in scattered papers. Ten species are recorded here for the first time from Hungary, and three are deleted from the list because of misidentifications. Three species have been synonymized with other species on the list. Two species have been erroneously mentioned from Hungary due to misinterpretation of localities. Currently, 113 species are known to occur in Hungary. Paroxyna ochracea Hendel and Paroxyna subochracea Séguy are proposed as junior synonyms to Campiglossa plantaginis (Haliday).Keywords: taxonomy, Hungary, new records, faunistic list, Tephritidae
