Abstract: The largest known Hungarian colony of Algedonia luctualis (Hübner) was discovered in the Bükk National Park. The imagines were diurnal. The herbaceous plant Cimicifuga europaea known as larval host according to the literature was not found in the habitat. Several specimens of Chionodes lugrubella (Fabricius) were taken in xerophilous habitats of the Mount Sár, near Gyöngyös (N Hungary) contradicting the experience of previous faunistic explorations in Hungary that the species is connected to birch.Journal: Folia entomologica hungaricaJournal abbreviation: Folia ent. hung.ISSN: 0373-9465Publisher: , Editor(s): Mahunka, S.
