Abstract: Sciarids and free living gall midges (Diptera, Sciaridae and Cecidomyiidae: Lestremiinae) from Hungary — Sciarid flies and gall-midges were collected with net and yellow dishes in the north-east region of Hungary. The material was classified as belonging to 59 species in 19 genera. 57 species are new for Hungary. A list of all identified species is given just as a discussion about the extension of these species proved in Hungary. In comparison with material from Greece 2 species turned out to be new for science. They are drawn and described. The new species belong to the genus Corynoptera (C. Jritzi and C. roeschmanni). Taxonomical remarks are given within the Corynoptera tridentata-gmup.
