Abstract: The occurrence of the cricket Tettigonia caudata (Charpentier, 1845) was discovered in an agrarian ecosystem nearby Lókút, Bakony Mountains, Transdanubia (UTM Hungary: YN 13). The estimated density of the population was about live individiuals/m2 and the species dominated the Orthopteran assemblages of the sampling site. The occurrence of the species in Transdanubia shows the significant role of the so-called semi-natural agro-ecosystem in the preservation of the biodiversity
