Title: Review of the asexual forms of the Andricus kollari species-group (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae, Cynipinae, Cynipini)
Year: 2003
Volume: 64
Pages: 171-222.

Abstract: The Andricus "kollari" species-group comprises ten well-known and widespread Western Palaearctic species, with heterogenous life-cycles. The asexual females form a group of hardly distinguishable species. The species of Andricus kollari group are revised and a key to asexual females is given. Lectotypes of Andricus amblycerus (Giraud, 1859), A. aries (Giraud, 1859), A. corruptrix (Schlechtendal, 1870), A. galeatus (Giraud, 1859), A. hispanicus (Hartig, 1856), A. kollari (Hartig, 1843), and A. lignicolus (Hartig, 1840) and the neotype of A. caliciformis (Giraud, 1859) are designated. We consider Andricus gallaetinctoriae (Olivier, 1791) as a nomen dubium and A. bulgaricus Vassileva-Samnalieva, 1977 as a species with uncertain status. A new species, Andricus sternlichti sp. n. is also described. Phylogenese relations within the kollari species-group and the position of the group in the Andricus Hartig, 1840 genus are discussed. The validity and taxonomic position of Andricus bulgaricus Vassileva-Samnalieva, 1977 and A. moreae Graeffe, 1905 are given also.
