Abstract: The occurrences of two night active Lepidoptera species protected by the Hungarian law are recorded from the marshy regions of NE Hungary. The wider distribution of noctuid moth A. musculus Ménétriés, 1859 in the region has been detected. The occurrence of the arctiid moth R. flavidus metelkanus (Lederer, 1861), hitherto known to occur in the region on the basis of an already not-extant specimen collected a hundred years ago, has been confirmed.
