Abstract: Investigation of the type specimens of two species of fairy moths described from Hungary demonstrated that Adela uhrikmeszarosiella SZENT-IVÁNY, 1945 is a junior subjective synonym of Cauchas rufimitrella (SCOPOLI, 1763), and Adela reskovitsiela SZENT-IVÁNY, 1945 is a junior subjective synonym of Adela mazzolella (HÜBNER, 1796). Corrections of spelling are provided for Nemophora raddaella (HÜBNER, 1793) and Nemophora mollella (HÜBNER, [1813]); the senior synonym N. prodigellus (ZELLER, 1853) is to be used instead of N. auricellus (RAGONOT, 1874).
