Abstract: Occurrence of 345 species of Macroheterocera (Arctiidac (18), Lasiocampidae (4), Lymantriidae (4), Noctuidae (248), Notodontidae (8), Nolidae (1), Thyatiridae (1), Sphingidae (7), Zygaenidae (1) and Rhopalocera (Hesperiidae (7), Lycaenidae (20), Nymphalidae (22), Pieridae (2)) is reported from Mongolia as the result of an expedition carried out in 2005. A list of the 30 collecting sites with the applied methods is given. Twenty-one taxa are recorded as new for Mongolia.
