Abstract: Neotrombicula sympatrica STEKOLNIKOV, 2001 was collected in three areas of Kyrgyzstan from 64 individuals belonging to 8 species of rodents. N. sympatrica infested 9 areas of the skin of the hosts grouped into three regions: cochlea (inside, edge and outside of ear), ano-genital region (genitals, anus and under the tail) and ventral region (belly, breast and chin). Host preference, seasonal and topographical distribution, and coexistence of N. sympatrica with other chigger mites are given. With 3 figures and 6 tables.
