Abstract: Th irty-two species of crane fl ies are reported as new for Hungary based on a recent survey
and the revision of earlier collected specimens of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest.
Th e recent survey was carried out in spring and autumn of 2017 in a mature oak-hornbeam
forest in the Pilis Mountains (Hungary). Identifi cations of four other species with questionable
previous records are confirmed.
