Abstract: A subfossil bird fauna from the Predinastic period (cca 4000 B. C.) from N. Egypt was analysed and 9 species were determined. Among banal forms one of the first subfossil proofs of the Egyptian Vulture in Northern Africa is given. We can assume upon the hitherto known Pleistocene and Holocene bone remains
of different vulture species in the Mediterranean that the latter one was the last invader among them in the territory.Journal: Fragmenta Minerologica et PalaeontologicaJournal abbreviation: ISSN: 0367-2697Publisher: Múzsák Közművelődési Kiadó, BudapestEditor(s): Vörös, A. & Nemes, I.
