Abstract: 33 Early Sinemurian (Bucklandi Zone) brachiopod species are described from the Lókút Hill (Bakony Mountains, Hungary). This is the richest Early Sinemurian brachiopod fauna of the Mediterranean region with 8 rhynchonellid, 10 spiriferid, 14 terebratulid and 1 strophomenid species representing 17 genera.
