Abstract: Up to now onlv sporadic Hettangian brachiopods were known from the Bakonv Mts. During a new collection, a surprisingly rich brachiopod fauna was found at 13 localities ot the Bakony Mts. Fifteen Hettansian brahniopod taxa are described, belonging to 5 genera.
