Abstract: First results of laboratory screening of locally produced 171 chemicals for anthelminthic action are reported. Nippos trongylus brasiliensis in rat, Nematospiroides dubius and Hymenolepis nana in mouse were used. Life cycles, maintenance of these helminth species as well as screening procedures are described. Two of the tested compound were found active against H. nana.
